In the Natural kitchen you will find lots of articles, recipes and advice on how to use food as a healer, boosting your immune system and fighting disease.   You may already be aware that nutritional therapy or food therapy is emerging as the latest prevention against multiple lifestyle diseases.  We now see Doctors working with nutritionists to encourage patients to pop an apple rather than popping a pill! Today’s lifestyle can have a really negative influence on us.  Stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets and worries can directly impact our life-long health. However, the great news is that given the right help, our body can heal itself.  Nourishment at the Delglyn Clinic is all about healing on a cellular level, allowing time to heal, and beginning to love yourself.

I’ve spent many years of my life battling with food and eating, and a misconception that I needed to “conform to society’s warped view of perfection” before I could love myself and find happiness.   However, after having children and suffering from IBS for many years, I decided enough was enough!  I had to think about our future together and that’s where my interest in healing foods began. It was really liberating to learn that great health isn’t built on an un-realistic lifestyle, neither is it about subjecting yourself to the misery of yo-yo dieting and unsustainable dieting regimes. I have since trained as a Nutritionist (also currently studying Clinical Nutrition) and enjoy helping my patients whenever I can when they visit the clinic. I use all the information that I’ve learnt through my own painful experience and my training, to design scrumptious and nutritious meals that help repair, restore and heal.
